Lincoln Receives one of 12 $40,000 STEM Grants!

Lincoln High School has received a $40,000 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Grant through the Minnesota Department of Education. Twelve grants were awarded in Early 2008. The $40,000 will be used to embed the MN Math Standards and create new and innovative programs in the STEM fields of study. At Lincoln, we have many new and innovative programs and curriculum that were implemented through this grant; many of these continue today.  Some of these programs include and 8th grade STEM course for all students, our FIRST Robotics Program, a high tech Technology Education program with multiple 3-D printers, software, robotics and much more.

In addition to this grant, Lincoln High School also received a very generous donation of $25,000 from Hearth and Home Industry in Lake City. This donation will help Lincoln purchase some of the new equipment to be used through this STEM grant.
