Teacher Appreciation Week

Lake City Parents and Guardians,

For the past twenty-eight years, the first full week in May has been designated as Teacher Appreciation Week, a time to honor the people who passionately provide their talent and enthusiasm to educating our children.

I am proud to work in a district where the value of our teachers and staff is not reduced to merely the performance on standardized test scores. Rather, I appreciate the long hours and commitment our staff members put in making sure all of our students feel valued, hopeful, and prepared for their futures. In particular, I am grateful to our staff members for all the personal resources they gladly give out of professional kindness and responsibility to care for our students.

On behalf of all of our approximately 1,300 early childhood through twelfth grade students, I want to say thank you to our staff for making learning meaningful and fun for every student.

Warm regards,

Craig Junker, Superintendent
