Innovative Science Program

The Lincoln High School Science Department offers a wide range of courses for students of all interests and abilities. High School courses include: Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Biology, Forensics, Ecology, and Astronomy. All of the Science classes at Lincoln are heavily lab based and all classrooms have Smart Boards Interactive Whiteboards). These lab based courses will become even more rigorous, relevant and engaging with some new, innovative curriculum and equipment for the current school year. Due to the STEM Grant and donation from Hearth and Home, Lincoln has purchased near $20,000 in Vernier handhelds, probes, and curriculum. Theses innovative tools will allow students to do even more inquiry based labs and use technology to interpret real-life data. In addition to these devices, our 7th and 9th grade curriculum will embed the Future Problem Solving Process. This will foster creativity, problem solving, and innovative thinking in the classroom. All of these initiatives have made the science program at Lincoln more Rigorous, more Relevant, and Innovative.
