Welcome to Bluff View Elementary School. My name is Eric Aeschlimann (ASH – leh-man) and I have served as principal at Bluff View since school year 2022-23. I am so excited to be leading such a wonderful school.

A little bit about me: I am married, my wife and I were both born and raised in rural South Dakota. I graduated from Luther College and was a PE teacher for much of my career. I taught in Alaska and Texas before moving to Minnesota in 2000. We have 3 children, ages 26, 24, and 20, two dogs, and one cat, and we live in Rochester. 

My goal for Bluff View is to create a place where all of our students feel safe and a place where they can reach their full potential. 

I look forward to growing with you, Bluff View. Let’s have a great school year.

It takes a village to raise a child, and we need villagers! Bluff View Elementary has volunteer opportunities for members of our community who are interested in helping out. We are looking for individuals who our students can read to, folks who are interested in working with struggling students on their work, and people who want to help create projects for teachers. We prefer volunteers who can commit to the same time daily/weekly if possible. Please send me an email or schedule an appointment if you are interested in being a Volunteer Tiger! Thanks,
