School Board Election Information
The Lake City Public School District does not hold a primary; all candidates are “at large” and appear on the General Election ballot (November 8, 2022). At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years each, and one (1) member will be elected to the School Board for a two year term.
Candidate filing period will be August 2 - August 16, 2022 (August 18, is the last day for candidates to withdraw).
Four of the seven School Board positions will be open at the election.
Candidates may file at the School District office at Lincoln High School, filing fee is $2.00. A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same primary or general election.
Affidavits of Candidacy are available from the School District Clerk, in the Office of the Superintendent. This office will be open hours 7-3:30 pm.
