Lake City Public School

The Lake City Public School District provides staff and students with access to three types of wired and wireless networks: Data, Video, and Voice.

Data

Staff and students throughout the district have access to data services with a minimum speed of 1 Gbps. This network supports all computers, servers, printers, and other connected resources.

Both district buildings are connected to high-speed internet through a unified network infrastructure linked by a fiber optic connection. Although the buildings are approximately one mile apart, this setup allows them to share the same network and resources seamlessly.

Video

All locations in the district have access to cable TV and/or an internal video signal. The district operates a small internal cable TV plant that distributes local cable channels. This system also supports the building security surveillance network and the video link between buildings.

Various locations throughout the district are equipped to provide both internal and external video connections, enabling live broadcasts and recordings of Lake City Public Schools events.

Voice

District staff have internal voice communication using four-digit extensions and can make calls anywhere in the United States directly from their desks. Every employee has voicemail, with the added convenience of voicemail-to-email forwarding.

All incoming calls use direct outside lines, and all voice features are fully programmable through built-in software.
