Lincoln High School Recognized!

Lincoln High School has been recognized by the Washington Post as a school of distinction using their Challenge Index.  This is the 6th straight year that Lincoln has been recognized! Only 27 Minnesota schools made the Challenge List this past school year. Schools are recognized by the  Washington Post by the participation of students in Advanced Placement courses.  More information can be found here.

Choirs to present 2016 Choral POPS concert
            The Lincoln High Vocal Music Department will present the annual Choral POPS concert on Friday, May 20th at 7:30 pm in the High School Auditorium.
            This concert features the vocal talents of the Junior, Cadet, and Concert Choirs along with the Bel Canto and Bro Canto ensembles.  Student musicians will entertain their audience with a wide range of music throughout numerous decades.  Choral selections include:  Surfin’ USA, Sixties with a Twist, Dear Future Husband, Pretty Woman, Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Dust in the Wind, Clouds, Build Me Up Buttercup, along with many other choral selections.  The evening will also include select solo and small group performances featuring talented Lincoln student musicians, chosen through audition.  It will be a night of fun-filled music and entertainment you won’t want to miss!  
            Also included on the concert is the presentation of the Robert S. Ruberto “Most Inspirational Choir Student” Award given in recognition of Robert Ruberto’s 25 years of dedicated service to the choral music program of Lincoln High School.  This award will be presented to one of our 30 senior members, who will be singing in their final Lincoln High School concert.  Please join us on May 20th at 7:30 pm!  The concert is free to the public and doors will open at 7:00 pm.  The choirs are directed by Carey Kopp.  

Wellness Club - Trip to the C.V.T.

The Lake City Wellness club took a trip to the Cannon Valley Bike Trail on Saturday, May 21st.  We had great weather, lots of fun and enjoyed a Subway lunch thanks to the Lake City Ed. Foundation.  The trip started in Welch, MN. - went to Cannon Falls, ate lunch and then back to Welch.  Round trip was close to 20 miles.  Great job Crew.  The club would also like to thank the C.V.T. for free passes!
